Hello!
I'm Nelli, a passionate Filipino language teacher with a love for sharing the richness of our language and culture. My teaching journey began in 2017 when I unexpectedly found myself tutoring Filipino due to demand. To my surprise, people were eager to learn, and what started as a side role has now become something I truly enjoy. Teaching Filipino has allowed me to connect with students from all over the world, and even make new friends along the way!
I offer self-paced Filipino courses designed with simplicity and practicality in mind. I believe that learning a language should be fun and immediately useful, so my approach introduces easy concepts as building blocks. From there, we build on those basics through practice, with a mix of cultural insights to keep learning engaging and relevant.

The Filipino Beginner MasterCourses (A1 & A2) are designed with English speakers in mind, making the learning process clear, structured, and easy to follow. Each lesson breaks down the language step by step so you can build confidence without feeling overwhelmed.
The A1 course focuses on the essentials: greetings, common vocabulary, simple verbs, and everyday expressions. From your very first lesson, you’ll start using Filipino in practical ways. The A2 course then takes you further by expanding your vocabulary, introducing more natural sentence structures, and guiding you into real conversational fluency.

The courses are divided into several sections, containing the more than 116 video lessons and exercises. I recommend watching the sessions in order, as the courses offer a sequential and logical learning path.
